The Illinois Power Agency’s Final Revised Long-Term Renewable Resources Procurement Plan as approved by the Illinois Commerce Commission provides for a 2021 procurement of Renewable Energy Credits (“RECs”) from new utility-scale wind projects. The Utility-Scale Wind RFP will seek to procure 1,000,000 RECs delivered annually under 15-year fixed price contracts.
A webcast will be held at 10:00 AM Central Prevailing Time on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 and is open to all prospective bidders. The objective of the webcast is to present the main terms of the final standard contract form and to provide an overview of the RFP Process and Rules including qualification requirements.
The Procurement Administrator posted revised versions of the REC Contract, RFP Rules, and Illustrative Part 1 Form to the Final Materials page of the procurement website today. The revisions to these documents will be addressed on the webcast on January 20.
If you wish to participate, and have not already done so, please RSVP for the webcast by providing your name, company, and the number of lines needed at Illinois-RFP@nera.com. Call-in information and the WebEx link will be provided to respondents on January 20 prior to the call.
