ANNOUNCEMENT: FEJA Job Training Programs and Grantees List Published on Energy Workforce Equity Portal

On March 20, the Illinois Power Agency (“IPA” or “Agency”) updated the Energy Workforce Equity Portal with the Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA) Job Training Program List. The list can be accessed by clean energy companies participating in the IPA’s Illinois Shines program, Self-direct Program, and utility-scale procurements so that they can identify graduates of qualified FEJA job training programs for which they are actively hiring Equity Eligible Persons (EEPs) to meet the Minimum Equity Standard. Under the law, graduates and current or former participants of the Solar Training Pipeline and Multi-cultural Jobs program automatically qualify to become EEPs, and these workforce development programs offer job and skill set training in the electric and solar industry, resulting in potential job placement in the clean energy, electrical, or construction sector.

The list referenced above can also be found on the Employers page and the FEJA and CEJA Workforce Training Programs page of the Energy Workforce Equity Portal.
