Energy Storage RFP – ANNOUNCEMENT: Webcast Scheduled for Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 10 AM (CPT)

On January 8, 2026, the Clean and Reliable Grid Affordability Act (“CRGA”, P.A. 104-0458) was signed into law. Pursuant to the CRGA, the Illinois Power Agency (“IPA”) will conduct an initial energy storage resources procurement ("Summer 2026 Energy Storage RFP"). The target for this procurement is 1,038 MW of stand-alone energy storage resources, with 450 MW interconnected within MISO Local Resource Zone 4 (“MISO LRZ 4”) and 588 MW interconnected within the PJM ComEd Locational Deliverability Area (“ComEd LDA”).

The Procurement Administrator will issue the final ISC Contract and RFP Documents for the Summer 2026 Energy Storage RFP on Monday, June 29, 2025. A bidder information webcast for the Summer 2026 Energy Storage RFP will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 10 AM (CPT) and is open to all prospective bidders. Representatives of NERA, the Procurement Administrator, will provide an overview of the terms of the ISC Contract and the RFP Process and Rules including qualification requirements. Time is scheduled for questions.
