Stakeholder Workshop Scheduled for Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 2PM (CPT)

As approved by the Illinois Commerce Commission (“ICC”), the Illinois Power Agency’s Long-Term Renewable Resources Procurement Plan (“2022 Long-Term Plan”) provides for a procurement of Indexed Renewable Energy Credits (“Indexed RECs”) from new utility-scale wind projects, new utility-scale solar projects, and new brownfield site photovoltaic projects this Summer 2023.

On March 30, 2023, the Procurement Administrator posted to the procurement website the Second Draft Indexed REC Contract and the Draft Indexed REC RFP Rules including appendices. The Procurement Administrator invites interested parties to submit their comments on any aspect of the Second Draft Indexed REC Contract and the Draft Indexed REC RFP Rules. The comment process is explained in the Invitation to Comment posted here. The deadline to provide comments is Friday, April 14, 2023.

 A stakeholder workshop is planned to discuss the comments received in the first round of written comments and the changes incorporated in the second draft contract and RFP requirements. The Stakeholder Workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 2PM (CPT).
