The Illinois Power Agency issued a Request for Stakeholder Feedback on Indexed REC Procurements to facilitate more successful participation in Indexed REC Procurement events and maximize utility-scale wind and solar project development.

The Request for Stakeholder Feedback seeks input on structural barriers that may have limited participation in the Spring and Fall 2022 Indexed REC Procurement events. In addition, the IPA is interested in suggestions for not only changes to the Indexed REC procurement structure, but also for changes to the IPA’s Long-Term Renewable Resources Procurement Plan or to Illinois law that could help facilitate the successful development of more utility-scale wind and solar projects.

Responses to this Request for Stakeholder Feedback are due by TODAY, February 3, 2023 and should be sent to IPA.Contactus@Illinois.gov. Responses will be made public and published on the Agency’s website.

The IPA will also host a stakeholder workshop on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 1:00 PM CPT to provide stakeholders an additional opportunity to provide feedback. Information on how to register for the workshop is contained in the Request for Stakeholder Feedback.
